One person killed in wild elephant attack in Eralakulam, Batticaloa
A person has died following a wild elephant attack in the Panju Marathadi area, which falls under the Eralakulam Grama Sevaka Division of the Chengaladi Divisional Secretariat in the Eravur Pattu region of Batticaloa.
The victim, who was seriously injured in the elephant attack, died while being taken to the hospital. The body has been placed at the Chenkalady Regional Hospital.
Batticaloa District Coroner M.S. Naseer has examined the body and ordered an inquiry into the incident. The body is to be sent to the Batticaloa Teaching Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
