64 Dead in Mexico Due to Heavy Rain, Floods, and Landslides
Due to Cyclone 'Raymond' that formed in the Pacific Ocean, continuous heavy rains have been pouring across 32 states in Mexico, resulting in severe flooding and landslides in various parts of the country.
So far, 64 people have lost their lives due to the heavy rain, floods, and landslides. More than 100 people have also sustained serious injuries.
Rescue operations are being carried out intensively in the rain- and flood-affected areas. The affected individuals are being rescued and sheltered in safe locations.
Meanwhile, search operations are underway for 65 people who have gone missing in the floods. Authorities fear that the death toll may rise further.
Over 5,400 personnel from the army, air force, and national security forces have been deployed for rescue and relief operations in the affected regions.
