Houses Built Under the National Programme “A Home for You, a Future for the Nation” Handed Over to the Public by MP Kandasamy Prabu

Under the national programme “A Home for You, a Future for the Nation,” four houses constructed in the Eravur Pattu Divisional Secretariat area of Batticaloa District were handed over to beneficiaries today by Member of Parliament Kandasamy Prabu.
The event was held under the leadership of Divisional Secretary K. Thanabalasundaram.
These houses, constructed in the areas of Arumugaththan, Kudiyiruppu, Eravur Fifth Cross, Ellainagar, and Vanthaarumoolai, were officially handed over today.
This is a special project implemented by the National People’s Power government to provide housing for the homeless in the country.
Member of Parliament Kandasamy Prabu of the National People’s Power (NPP) in Batticaloa District, Sengaladi Divisional Secretary K. Thanabalasundaram, NPP Batticaloa district organizer N. Thilakanathan, divisional secretariat officials, and many residents participated in today’s event.
Remarks made by MP Kandasamy Prabu during the event:
“The 70 houses allocated in the first phase have now been completed, and today we are handing them over to the beneficiaries in Batticaloa.
Through the President’s national policy, our ministers have initiated projects to construct and distribute houses.
In the past, certain opposition elements and agitators—whom I call groups of thieves—criticized us. They said this government could not remain in power even for six months, that there would be no international support, that the people in government had no prior experience, and that governance would be impossible. But today we have completed over a year in office. Within this one-year period, the National People’s Power government has earned the trust and goodwill of the people.
The people know very well how honestly and in the right direction the President of this country, Anura Kumara Dissanayake, has led the nation.
Wherever we go, support for the President has multiplied several times over. People say that only the National People’s Power government can govern this country properly and lead it on a path to prosperity. The people are well aware of this.
They know very well that this government is honest, just, and at the same time moving the country forward economically.
Therefore, within this short one-year period, we have created economic stability. Socially, we have made efforts to enable people to lead a happy life. Today, people are moving toward a joyful life.
The people are expressing their gratitude to the National People’s Power government and to Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
I believe the opposition now realizes that their false propaganda has been defeated.”
